DCW Electrical Pty Ltd is an established electrical and air-conditioning services business based in Cranbourne North, servicing residential and commercial customers across Melbourne’s South-Eastern suburbs.

Our services include electrical installation and maintenance, air-conditioning installation, servicing and repairs, switchboard upgrades, property maintenance and compliance services. We work with residential and commercial air-conditioning systems, including split and ducted systems, and are committed to providing safe, reliable and high-quality workmanship.

Due to continued demand for our air-conditioning services, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, service, maintain and repair residential and commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Install and service split-system and ducted air-conditioning systems.
- Inspect systems, diagnose faults and carry out appropriate repairs and component replacements.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging and related refrigeration work in accordance with applicable licensing and environmental requirements.
- Install refrigerant pipework, drainage, equipment and associated air-conditioning components.
- Test,



commission and verify the safe and efficient operation of newly installed and existing systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
- Identify electrical and mechanical faults associated with air-conditioning systems and assist with appropriate repairs.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and manufacturer instructions.
- Use testing and diagnostic equipment to identify system faults and performance issues.
- Complete service reports, installation records and other required job documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements, relevant Australian Standards and company procedures.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding installations, servicing, maintenance and repair requirements.
- Work independently and collaboratively with electricians and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A relevant trade or technical qualification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or a related field, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in the installation, servicing,



maintenance and repair of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Experience working with residential and commercial air-conditioning systems, particularly split-system and ducted air-conditioning systems.
- A relevant Refrigerant Handling Licence, or the ability to obtain the appropriate licence required for the duties of the position.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles, air-conditioning systems and associated electrical components.
- The ability to use appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage daily workloads and work effectively as part of a team.
- A current Australian driver's licence or the ability to obtain one.
