Nurture Care Australia is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to support a male participant with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and mobility difficulties in a Supported Independent Living home.

You will provide person-centred support that respects the participant’s choices, dignity and independence. Duties will follow established support plans and participant-specific instructions, with training and guidance provided.

Available shifts

- Morning: 6:30 am–2:30 pm
- Afternoon: 2:30 pm–10:30 pm, followed by a sleepover

Please include your availability for weekdays, weekends and sleepovers in your application.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with personal care, according to the participant’s support needs.
- Provide minor transfer and mobility assistance following assessed manual handling instructions.
- Prepare meals and provide mealtime assistance in accordance with the participant’s mealtime management plan.
- Assist with routine household tasks, laundry and cleaning.
- Complete accurate shift notes and provide transparent handovers.
- Report changes in the participant’s wellbeing,



incidents and safety concerns promptly.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and management to provide consistent support.

Essential requirements

- Current NDIS Worker Screening clearance / Yellow Card.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Infection Control Certificate (can assist acquiring)
- National Police Check.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
- Australian working rights.

Desirable experience and qualifications

- Experience supporting people with acquired brain injuries or mobility difficulties.
- Experience with personal care, safe transfers and mealtime assistance.
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability, or a relevant qualification.

Pay: $36.00 – $38.00 per hour
