A Maintenance Painter role within an Operations team performing a variety of technical tasks including surface preparation, painting, plastering, and finishing work for commercial clients across south-east Queensland. The role is highly independent.
Key responsibilities
- Clear workspace and prepare surface area
- Sand, patch, prime, seal, and paint a variety of surfaces per clients request ensuring a professional finish
- Replace ceiling tiles and colour match
- Prepare joints to ceiling and walls in preparation for painting
- Prepare floors and applying 2-pack epoxy
- Clean workspace and dispose of rubbish
- Train and support a full-time painter apprentice
About you
- Qualified painter with 6+ years commercial experience
- Plastering skills essential
- High personal initiative and capacity to solve complex technical problems
- High personal integrity, reliability, and accountability
- Good communication and collaborative skills, and ability to relate effectively with people
- Valuable knowledge, understanding, and application of WH&S; and Quality
- Familiarity with Simpro or a similar field management system would be highly regarded
