About the role
Perennial Value Management Limited is looking for an Equities Analyst to join an investment team that runs a long-only listed equities portfolio. You will report to the Portfolio Manager, and you will research, value and recommend listed companies and advise on buy, sell and hold decisions.

Key responsibilities

- Research listed companies, industries and sectors, including market conditions, regulation and company finances
- Build and maintain financial models and valuations, and interpret company filings, results, broker research and market data
- Monitor holdings, prices, liquidity, risk and market developments against each investment thesis
- Write buy, sell and hold recommendations and position-sizing inputs, and present them at investment meetings
- Meet company management and investor relations teams, and contribute market and holdings commentary to client and investment reporting





Skills and experience

- Bachelor degree or higher in finance, commerce, economics, accounting or a quantitative discipline
- At least 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) experience in equities research, investment analysis or financial markets
- Solid skills in financial statement analysis, Excel modelling and valuation (DCF and multiples)
- Working knowledge of equity markets and market data platforms
- Clear written and spoken communication of investment views
- Ability to meet the training and competency standards required of staff at an AFS-licensed firm

Position details
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in our Sydney CBD office. Competitive remuneration.
