About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and passionate Demi Chef to join our kitchen team at a Southeast Asian restaurant in Lane Cove, NSW.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of kitchen experience and a strong interest in preparing high-quality Southeast Asian cuisine.

The successful candidate will assist with ingredient preparation, food preparation and service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent food quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and portion ingredients for daily kitchen operations.
- Assist with food preparation and cooking according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Support the kitchen team during food service.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Keep the kitchen clean,



organised, and safe.
- Assist other kitchen team members as required.

Requirements

- At least 1 year of kitchen experience.
- Ability to work full time, five days per week, including weekends.
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
- Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
