Showroom Sales Assistant – Melbourne

Banana Home is a family-run furniture business with 40 years of experience. We are seeking a motivated, self-driven Showroom Sales Assistant with a passion for furniture, interior design and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is confident engaging with customers, identifying their needs and converting opportunities into sales while consistently meeting KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver personalised customer service and proactively engage with showroom visitors.
- Recommend and sell sofas, modular lounges, ottomans and other furniture products.
- Build customer relationships, overcome objections and close sales.
- Achieve individual sales targets and showroom KPIs.
- Maintain strong product knowledge, including fabrics, colours and configurations.
- Prepare quotes, process orders and follow up on customer enquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professionally presented showroom.

Skills & Experience

- Previous furniture retail, sales or interior design experience preferred.




- Robust communication, negotiation and closing skills.
- Proactive, results-driven and confident working towards targets.
- Organised, reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Availability

- Friday: 10 am – 4 pm
- Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm
- Monday: 10 am – 4 pm

Availability across all four days is essential.

Pay: From $34.76 per hour
Location: Melbourne Showroom
