409 Grand Jct Rd, Wingfield SA 5013
Base Salary $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.
About Us
Established in 2014, 2K Embroidery & Merchandising is a South Australian owned and operated business specialising in custom workwear, uniforms, sportswear, schoolwear and promotional merchandise. From our Wingfield workshop and showroom, we design and decorate garments in-house using multi-head commercial embroidery, screen printing, DTF, direct-to-garment (DTG) printing and heat press application. We handle everything from single garments to runs of a thousand units.
We supply a wide range of leading Australian and international apparel, workwear and safety brands. Our clients include trade and construction businesses, hospitality venues, retailers, schools, sporting clubs, athletes, community events and government organizations across South Australia and Australia-wide.
Our business has grown steadily, with increasing order volumes, a broader client base and an expanding range of custom apparel and merchandise. The volume and complexity of client artwork now requires a dedicated design professional, and we are creating a current permanent role for an experienced Graphic Designer.
The Role
The Graphic Designer will plan, design and prepare visual communication for our clients’ branded apparel and merchandise. You will turn client logos, ideas and briefs into designs that work both commercially and technically across different garments and decoration methods. Each design must be tailored to its intended audience, whether that is a construction crew in hi-vis, a café team, a school community or fans buying an athlete’s merchandise.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Wingfield premises, working Monday to Friday.

sales staff and management to determine the objectives, requirements and constraints of each design brief, including brand guidelines, garment selection, quantities, budget and deadlines.
- Research and analyses clients’ brand identity, target audience and functional requirements, such as visibility and compliance considerations for hi-vis workwear, crest and color standards for schools and clubs, or market appeal for retail merchandise.
- Formulate original design concepts for logos, crests, uniforms, team and sports apparel, workwear branding, merchandise collections and promotional products.
- Prepare sketches, layouts and digital mock-ups showing logo placement, sizing and colorways on garments and products, and issue digital proofs to clients for approval before production.
- Negotiate and refine design solutions with clients, management, sales and production staff to balance visual quality, technical feasibility, turnaround and cost.
- Select, specify and recommend the most suitable decoration method (embroidery, screen print, DTF, DTG or heat transfer), thread and ink colours, garment ranges and materials to achieve the required functional and aesthetic outcome.
- Detail and document approved designs for production, including:
o production-ready vector artwork.
o color separations for screen printing.
o print-ready files for DTF and DTG.
o artwork for in-house embroidery digitizing; and
o placement and sizing specifications for the workshop.
- Supervise production of designs, inspect samples and first-run output, and ensure finished products match approved artwork and quality standards.
- Design company catalogues, product range sheets, showroom signage and display materials that present our products and decoration capabilities to clients.
- Maintain an organized archive of client logos, approved artwork and production files to support efficient repeat orders.
