Ningaloo Bakehouse & Cafe is a country town bakery based in Exmouth, WA. Boasting a huge selection of award-winning pies, bread, pastries, sweets and coffee for our customers, we pride ourselves in producing exceptional quality products and customer service.

We are currently seeking applications from experienced and passionate Pastry Cooks to join our kitchen team in Exmouth, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a variety of high-quality meat pies, pastries, cakes, baked goods in line with menu specifications
- Decorate and finish cakes and pastries to a consistently high standard
- Bring strong attention to detail to all aspects of pastry and pie production, with excellent time management
- Work closely with the kitchen and baking team to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional service
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace and ensure the kitchen meets all food safety and health regulations
- Assist with food and ingredient stock control, ensuring timely replenishment
- Adapt to flexible working hours, including some weekend shifts. Shifts will primarily be 4:30am starts, finishing round midday.

Skills and Experience Required:

- Minimum 3 years’ full-time skilled experience as a Pastry Chef
- Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent or Higher qualification.
- A strong eye for detail with solid problem-solving skills




- Thorough knowledge of pastry preparation, pie preparation, food safety, and hygiene practices
- Excellent technical pastry skills, including:
- Precision baking
- Cake decorating and finishing
- Strong organisation and time management
- Confident use of baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Experience producing high volumes of pies to a high standard.
- Ability to work professionally in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
- Experience working with bread is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills and teamwork
