About Us

63 Degrees Café is looking for a passionate, experienced and reliable Chef to join our team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in preparing high-quality food, enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment, and can maintain excellent food standards and consistency.

About the Role

As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of café dishes, maintaining kitchen operations, and ensuring every meal meets our quality standards. You will work closely with the team to deliver excellent food and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook high-quality meals consistently and efficiently.
- Manage daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
- Maintain excellent food presentation, taste and portion control.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and minimise food waste.
- Maintain proper food storage, labelling and rotation.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Assist with menu development and daily specials.
- Manage kitchen workflow during busy service periods.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills and Experience





- Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or similar kitchen environment.
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Relevant culinary qualifications are preferred.
