Sandwich Chefs Coomera is looking for looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Hand/Cook to support our kitchen operations at Sandwich Chefs Coomera. You will play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring raw ingredients are fresh and prepped, kitchen equipment is spotless, and our sandwich and carvery prep lines run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation: Assist with washing, chopping, and prepping fresh vegetables, meats, and food items according to kitchen standards.

Washing & Sanitation: Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, food trays, cookware, and kitchen machinery promptly.

Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain clean work surfaces, floors, waste bins, and walk-in cold rooms in line with food safety guidelines.

Stock Support: Help unpack, organize, and rotate stock deliveries in the coolroom and dry storage areas (FIFO method).

Service Support:



Assist prep staff and team members with essential setup and restocking

Requirements:

Cook/Kitchen hand experience

Strong work ethic, reliability, and physical stamina for a busy kitchen environment.

Basic understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Clear communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude.

Willingness to work adaptable shifts, including morning prep sessions and weekends.

Note: Pay will follow fast food award rates

Pay: From $34.76 per hour
