Groom on Your Terms: Casual Cover Groomer
PupperCuts · Tanah Merah (moving to Slacks Creek in early 2027) · Casual · $37–$40/hr
You choose the days. We bring the dogs. No fixed roster, no minimum hours, and no guilt when you say “not this week.” Just good grooming days, when they suit you.
And in early 2027, we’re moving into a brand-new studio in Slacks Creek. We’d love you to be part of it from the start.
Flexibility that’s real
- Pick up days when it suits you. We’ll offer cover days for sick leave and holidays, and you say yes or no. Easy.
- Planned days are booked weeks ahead, so you can fit them around school runs, your own clients or the rest of your life.
- Short-notice days are optional. If it doesn’t work, no pressure, ever.
- Ideal for parents, semi-retired groomers, or groomers running their own business who’d like extra income on quiet days.
What your day looks like
- 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
- 5–7 dogs, booked by size and coat, so the day is realistic from the start
- Bathers on hand to wash and dry, so you get to do what you love: groom
- Clear notes on every dog: coat, behaviour and what the owner wants
- Loyal, lovely clients (4.9 stars from 329 Google reviews) whose dogs know us well
- A friendly team that helps each other out, and loads of free snacks!
Coming soon:
a fresh new space
In the next 2–3 months we’re moving to a newly built studio in Slacks Creek, just down the road from where we are now. It’s a fresh, new space set up around how we work. Join now and settle in with the team before the move.
You’ll bring
- 2+ years’ professional grooming experience
- Confident full grooms on your own, start to finish
- Calm, patient handling, including nervous and wriggly dogs
- Your own clippers, blades and scissors (we supply everything else)
- Reliability: when you say yes to a day, we can count on you
- Right to work in Australia
A Cert III is great, but your experience matters more.
You’ll get
- $37–$40 an hour casual, depending on experience
- Days on your terms
- A paid trial day to see if we’re the right fit for you
- More regular days if you want them, over the Christmas peak and as we settle into the new studio
