Marci Lou’s Burger Co. is a smash burger food truck in Sydney. We’re a small, busy team that takes pride in good food, fast service, and looking after our people. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Assistant Restaurant Manager to help run the day-to-day operation and support our Restaurant Manager.

About the role
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll be a key part of the leadership team. You’ll lead and motivate the crew during shifts, train new team members on food safety, service standards, and our procedures, and step in to support the Restaurant Manager with operational duties. You’ll open and close the business, so you’ll need to be comfortable taking responsibility for the start and end of each trading day.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the crew during shifts
- Train and onboard new team members
- Open and close the business, including setup, cash handling, stock checks, and cleaning
- Support the Restaurant Manager with rostering, stock ordering, and day-to-day duties
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards




- Deliver great customer service and keep the team working well together

What we’re looking for

- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role, ideally in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Experience training or mentoring others
- Strong communication skills and a calm, positive approach under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the agreed weekly hours, including opening and closing shifts
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate is a plus, but not essential
