We're looking for aspiring artists who are keen to break into the tattoo industry and learn what it takes to become a professional tattoo artist.

At Addikted to Ink/Melburn Made Ink, we're proud to be Australia's largest tattoo studio company and the only one offering a structured tattoo apprenticeship program. Our program is designed to give aspiring artists a clear pathway to develop their skills, learn from experienced professionals, and work towards a career in tattooing.

You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced artists, develop your artistic skills, and get a feel for life inside a professional tattoo studio — with a focus on black & grey realism.

You don't need to be an established artist or have a portfolio full of work. We're more interested in your attitude, commitment, creativity, and willingness to learn.

What we're looking for

- A genuine commitment to developing their skills and pursuing a career in tattooing.

The details

- Program duration: A minimum of 9 months, depending on your learning progress and how quickly you develop the skills required to become a tattoo artist.
- Schedule: 3 days per week, either Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday.
- Hours: Full studio days, generally from 9 am to around 9 pm.
- Cost: No tuition or training fees.
- Paid or unpaid: This is an unpaid training opportunity, so you'll need to consider how you'll support yourself financially during the program.
- Trial: Successful applicants will be invited to complete a 2-week trial before progressing to the full program.
