Here’s what you’ll be doing:

- Monitoring workflow and stepping in to support the team during busy service periods
- Ensuring customer-facing areas are clean, organised, stocked and well presented
- Supporting till operations, cash handling and payment procedures
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace cleanliness
- Coordinating opening, service and end-of-shift close-down requirements
- Completing and checking relevant operational and close-down checklists
- Responding to customer enquiries, feedback and service issues
- Keeping the Catering Manager informed of staffing, service and operational matters

As part of our recruitment process, you’ll need to complete standard probity checks including, but not limited to, right-to-work verification, Criminal History Check, and reference checks. These will be facilitated and funded by The Wests Group.

About you
You’re a reliable and proactive hospitality professional who enjoys bringing people together and creating a positive service environment.
You don’t need to stand back and manage from the sidelines. You’re comfortable working alongside your team, providing direction when required and helping everyone deliver their best during a busy service.

To be successful, you’ll ideally bring:

- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, food service or a similar customer-facing environment
- Experience supervising, leading or providing direction to other team members
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confidence coordinating people and priorities during busy periods
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards
- The ability to follow procedures and complete operational checklists accurately
- A positive, reliable approach and willingness to lead by example
