Landscape Maintenance Expert

Hamilton Garden Service | Perth, Western Australia

About Hamilton Garden Service

Hamilton Garden Service (HGS) is a Perth-based garden maintenance and landscaping business established in 2019. We work with residential, commercial and property management clients throughout Perth’s western suburbs, delivering reliable service and high-quality garden maintenance.

Our vision is to become the most respected garden company in Perth. We believe this is achieved through quality workmanship, solid client relationships, continuous improvement and a team that takes genuine pride in what they do.

We are looking for a Landscape Maintenance Expert who shares these values and wants to be part of a professional, growing business.

About the Role

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong eye for detail and understands what it takes to maintain gardens to a consistently high standard.

You will carry out garden maintenance across a variety of residential and commercial properties, working both independently and as part of a team.

We value people who take ownership of their work, communicate well, solve problems and understand that the small details make a big difference to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Garden Maintenance & Quality Workmanship

- Complete lawn mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, hedging and general garden maintenance.
- Maintain gardens to a high standard, paying attention to presentation and detail.
- Use garden machinery and equipment safely and correctly.
- Identify potential issues with gardens, irrigation systems and property presentation.
- Leave every site clean, tidy and professionally presented.

Client Communication

- Communicate with clients in a friendly, professional and respectful manner.
- Listen to client requests and ensure work is completed as agreed.
- Represent Hamilton Garden Service positively while working on client properties.
- Identify additional work opportunities or concerns and communicate them to management rather than making unauthorised commitments.

Teamwork & Communication

- Communicate clearly with team members and management throughout the working day.
- Follow schedules, work instructions and company procedures.
- Arrive prepared, work efficiently and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Take responsibility for your work and raise issues early.

Job Administration & Accountability

- Complete accurate job notes, photos and other required records using our job management system.
- Record relevant site information, work completed and any issues identified.
- Follow company policies, safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles responsibly.

Learning & Development

- Be open to feedback and willing to improve your technical and communication skills.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Take initiative, develop your knowledge and contribute ideas to improve how we work.

What We Are Looking For

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Experience in garden maintenance or a closely related landscaping role.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- The ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
- Good time management and the ability to follow schedules.
- A willingness to learn, accept feedback and continuously improve.
- A responsible approach to equipment, workplace safety and job documentation.

A current driver's licence and confidence working with garden maintenance equipment are important for this position.

Relevant qualifications, additional licences and experience with irrigation systems will be viewed favourably.

Our Expectations

At Hamilton Garden Service, quality is not optional. We expect every team member to take ownership of their work, treat clients and their properties with respect, communicate openly and follow through on commitments.

We value people who take initiative, look for solutions rather than excuses and understand that their actions contribute to the reputation of the entire business.

In return, you will have the opportunity to work with a professional team, develop your skills and contribute to a business that is committed to continually improving its standards.

How to Apply

We want to learn more about you than what is written on your résumé.

As part of your application, please email a short video introducing yourself and explaining why you would be a good fit for the Landscape Maintenance Expert role.

In your video, tell us:

- A little about your garden maintenance or landscaping experience.
- What you believe separates an average gardener from an excellent one.
- How you ensure clients receive a high-quality service.
- Why you would like to join Hamilton Garden Service.

Please send your video to [email protected].

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values professionalism and wants to be part of a team committed to doing things properly.

If that sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
