Finer Power Transmissions is looking for an Internal Sales / Customer Service person to join our Smithfield NSW branch.

This is a hands-on, customer-focused role dealing with incoming phone and email enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and assisting customers with product selection and technical enquiries.

In the bearings and power transmission industry, we call this Internal Sales. In other industries, you may know a similar role as Customer Service, Sales Support, Account Management or Parts Interpreting.

You'll become a key point of contact for our customers, building relationships and helping manage their requirements from initial enquiry through to order and delivery.

About the Role

You'll become a key point of contact for our customers, building relationships and helping manage their requirements from initial enquiry through to order and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Answer incoming customer calls and emails
- Prepare quotations and follow up sales opportunities
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with product selection and technical enquiries
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships




- Coordinate with the warehouse on stock availability and deliveries
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing and order information
- Liaise with suppliers and other Finer team members when required
- Assist with picking, packing and general warehouse duties when needed

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys dealing with customers, is organized and accurate, and works well as part of a team.

Experience in bearings, mechanical power transmission, industrial supplies, engineering products, tools, automotive parts or a similar trade environment would be highly regarded.

Ideally, you will have:

- Internal sales, customer service, account management or parts interpreting experience
- Confidence dealing with customers by phone and email
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Good attention to detail and order-entry accuracy
- An interest in technical or industrial products
- Good computer skills and experience with sales or order-entry systems
- A practical, team-oriented approach

Previous experience with power transmission products, industrial equipment, ERP or inventory/order management systems would be advantageous.

The position is full time, with standard hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. It is primarily office-based, with occasional warehouse assistance when required.
