Nashville Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Student / Pharmacy Assistant to join our weekend team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing or studying pharmacy to gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting whilst supporting the delivery of exceptional pharmaceutical services to our patients. Based in Brighton QLD 4017, this role offers valuable hands-on training and mentorship from experienced pharmacy professionals, helping you develop the skills and knowledge essential for a successful career in pharmacy.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting pharmacists with the dispensing of medications, including counting, labelling and packaging of pharmaceutical products
- Managing and maintaining pharmacy stock levels, including receiving deliveries and conducting regular inventory checks
- Processing prescriptions and entering patient information into pharmacy systems accurately and efficiently
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, responding to general enquiries and directing complex questions to the pharmacist
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe pharmacy setting, adhering to all health and safety protocols
- Supporting the pharmacist in monitoring patient medications and identifying potential drug interactions or contraindications
- Assisting with the preparation of pharmacy records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participating in pharmacy operations and contributing to team initiatives and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

- Current enrolment in an accredited pharmacy degree programme or relevant pharmacy qualification
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy,



particularly when handling medications and patient information
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues
- Reliable, conscientious and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and computer software
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosages and basic pharmacy operations (or willingness to develop this)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine interest in pharmacy practice and patient wellbeing
- Availability for regular Saturday and Sunday shifts
