Faith Lutheran College is continuing its journey toward a three-school model, creating new opportunities for leaders to contribute to a cooperative and future-focused approach to learning and wellbeing. As our leadership structures continue to evolve, we are seeking high-performing educators who are passionate about student wellbeing and are ready to take the next step in their leadership journey.
An opportunity exists for a Senior School Phase Leader (Wellbeing) commencing Term 1, 2027. This role will work closely with students, families, teachers, and College leaders to foster a culture of belonging, engagement, resilience, and flourishing. The role has been designed as part of our broader phase-based leadership framework. We therefore welcome applications from leaders who demonstrate the capability, adaptability, and aspiration to contribute across multiple phases as future opportunities arise. The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the College's vision, while contributing to the ongoing development of consistent and connected wellbeing practices across the College.
About the role
You will be supported by a College Executive that is committed to “awakening potential and empowering learners for purposeful lives through Christ”.
We are seeking applicants who have:
Proven capacity to lead student wellbeing initiatives that support positive engagement, belonging, and flourishing.
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, leaders,
families, and external agencies to achieve positive student outcomes.
Experience supporting student behaviour, restorative practices, and relational approaches that align with the College's values and culture.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills that foster trust, collaboration, and community connection.
The ability to use wellbeing, engagement, and attendance data to inform decision-making and targeted interventions.
Capacity to mentor and support staff in developing inclusive and positive classroom cultures.
A demonstrated commitment to evidence-informed wellbeing practices and continuous improvement.
Agility and leadership capability to work effectively across different stages of learning and contribute to a developing phase leadership model.
A commitment to the mission, values, and Lutheran ethos of Faith Lutheran College and the ability to lead with authenticity, compassion, professionalism, and courage.
Furthermore, the College is implementing a five-year plan to move to a “stage” not “age” model of schooling across Year 7 to 12. It is anticipated that the College will remove the concept of year levels and increase flexibility to all students.
With such innovative changes we need teachers who can “dream big” and have the requisite traits such as tenacity, passion, tolerance of ambiguity, confidence, vision and flexibility.
