Little Genius Childcare and Kindergarten – Wheelers Hill VIC

Little Genius Childcare & Kindergarten is seeking a highly motivated Early Childhood Teacher to lead the kindergarten program at our second Little Genius location. You will bring a minimum of three years' teaching experience, a sound understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach, and a strong commitment to child-led, process-based and inquiry-based learning. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing and shaping the kindergarten program at our new service.

You will be responsible for the implementation of the curriculum in accordance with the NQS and VELYDF/EYLF.

About you

At least three years' experience as an Early Childhood Teacher

Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (must be an ACECQA-approved early childhood teaching qualification)

Full VIT registration (current)

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates

A strong working knowledge of the EYLF and VEYLDF

A practical understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach

Confidence embedding STEM and STEAM within play-based, inquiry-led learning

Strong skills in observation, planning and meaningful pedagogical documentation

A commitment to respectful partnerships with families

Confidence in using modern technology and apps

A strong commitment to child safety,



inclusion and every child's sense of belonging

Demonstrate great time management and organisational skills

Excellent presentation & communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Recognise the environment as the third teacher, embrace children's many forms of expression, and use documentation to make learning visible and guide future experiences

Develop a meaningful program around children's interests, strengths, questions and emerging ideas

Working closely with administration, staff and other Teachers

Lead and support your room team through transparent communication, collaboration and modelling thoughtful practice

Build respectful partnerships with families

Position and Commencement

Full-time position.

Commencement: Late 2026 or early 2027.
