About The Role
This is a Fixed Term Part Time Position until 01 June 2027 – 2 days per week The Marketing Lead – Rail Crossing Safety develops, delivers and evaluates marketing campaigns to improve secure behaviour and awareness among motorists, pedestrians and public transport users at railway crossings. The role supports the Department of Transport and Planning’s Rail Crossing Safety Awareness Group (RCSAG).

Key responsibilities
include creating clear marketing materials, coordinating campaigns with internal and external stakeholders, managing suppliers and agencies, preparing briefs and reports, and providing strategic marketing advice. The role also involves collaborating with transport and community organisations, following relevant policies and brand guidelines, and monitoring campaign budgets, procurement and expenditure to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. • Demonstrated experience in customer-led marketing, communications or community engagement (mandatory).
• At least five years of marketing experience and a relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or communications.
• Experience working in government, transport or a related industry. Pre-employment checks and employment conditions Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
