E&I; Technician – Power Station Shutdown LogiCOMM Engineering | Prepare. Protect. Precision. ASAP Start | 4 Weeks LogiCOMM Engineering works with industrial and power clients across Australia. We provide calibration, instrumentation, high voltage testing of primary and secondary systems, hazardous area inspections and equipment hire. We're looking for experienced E&I; Technicians to join our team for an upcoming power station outage.
What you'll do
• Calibrate pressure, DP, temperature, level and flow transmitters with HART or Fieldbus communicators and documenting calibrators
• Stroke and calibrate control valves and set up positioners (Fisher DVC, Metso or similar)
• Run loop checks, function tests and trip or interlock testing with DCS operators
• Maintain and test turbine supervisory and vibration instrumentation
• Complete ITPs, ITRs, calibration records and red-line mark-ups
• Work safely under site permit-to-work and isolation procedures
What you'll need
• Current QLD/NSW Electrical Licence
• Cert III/IV in Instrumentation and Control OR Diploma of Electrical and Instrumentation OR Diploma or Instrumentation and Control Engineering
• Calibration and commissioning experience in power generation, mining or heavy industry
• White Card and current LV Rescue and CPR
• Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres and Working at Heights
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test Highly regarded
• Hazardous Areas competencies
• EWP ticket or WP high risk licence
• Experience with Emerson Ovation, ABB or Yokogawa DCS
• Previous power station shutdown experience What's on offer
