About The Role

We are experiencing a robust phase of growth and are seeking an Associate Partner to join our Tax Advisory team. In this leadership role, you will operate at the intersection of senior client leadership and firm growth. This role is designed for a future leader ready to drive revenue growth, and contribute to the firm’s strategic direction. It offers a clear and structured pathway to Partnership and is a key component of our long-term succession planning.

Key responsibilities will include

- Grow the revenue base of the tax consulting division by way of business development, networking and marketing




- Own and manage a portfolio of key clients, acting as the trusted advisor and primary relationship lead
- Prepare tax consulting advice to clients, lead client meetings and deliver advice with confidence, ensuring all work is delivered on time to a high standard
- Review and oversee technical quality across compliance and tax advisory work spanning income tax, GST, Division 7A, CGT, FBT, trust distributions, superannuation guarantee, land tax, payroll tax, stamp duty and associated advisory matters
- Build trusted relationships with business owners, directors, boards, executors, and other key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to expand services, improve client outcomes, and strengthen retention

What we are looking for

- Tertiary degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Finance
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Law degree and/or Master of Tax qualification
- 10+ years’ proven industry experience working in tax advisory team
- Strong technical tax advisory expertise, with experience supporting SMEs, privately held companies, family groups, and not-for-profits
- Experience in drafting technical advice and assisting with ATO audit reviews
- Established ability to manage client relationships independently at a senior level, with a track record of client satisfaction and retention.
- Proven leadership skills, including delegation, mentoring, accountability for outcomes, and the ability to bring out the best in a multi-level team
- Commercial mindset and the confidence to identify, pursue, and convert growth opportunities within and beyond the existing portfolio
- Sound professional judgment, ethical grounding, and the maturity to operate across competing priorities without compromising quality or client trust
