About the Role

Develop your cardiac nursing career within a supportive, not-for-profit and well-established private hospital in North Sydney.

Working alongside experienced cardiologists, specialists and a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute and complex cardiac conditions, while also caring for patients requiring complex neurosurgical and post-operative interventions.

This is a 24/7 rotating roster position and an excellent opportunity for an RN looking to strengthen their cardiac expertise within a modern and highly regarded clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients with acute and complex cardiac conditions
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry and administer specialised cardiac medications
- Undertake comprehensive clinical and neurological assessments, including GCS and neurovascular monitoring
- Provide post-operative care for spinal and cranial patients
- Recognise clinical deterioration and escalate care appropriately
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, neurosurgeons, allied health professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery, rehabilitation and ongoing health management

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated experience in cardiology, acute medical, neurosurgical and/or critical care nursing
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry highly regarded
- Ability to recognise and respond effectively to clinical deterioration
- Excellent communication, time management and teamwork skills
