We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to support the clinical and operational leadership of the CCU. Working alongside an experienced Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary cardiac team, you will help drive exceptional patient care while mentoring and developing nursing staff.

Join one of Victoria’s largest private hospitals, providing comprehensive acute and specialist healthcare services to Melbourne’s eastern and outer eastern communities. The hospital offers a 24/7 Emergency Department, advanced surgical services, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac catheterisation laboratories and cardiothoracic surgery, supported by an expanded Coronary Care Unit and Intensive Care Unit.

- $60.15–$62.17 per hour + 12% superannuation, based on relevant experience

About the Role

Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, operational support and staff mentorship within the Coronary Care Unit.

- Provide clinical and operational leadership across the CCU
- Mentor, coach and support nursing staff
- Coordinate safe, evidence-based nursing care
- Support staffing, resources and day-to-day unit operations
- Build strong relationships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams




- Lead clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
- Support staff education and professional development
- Provide direct patient care when required
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork and clinical excellence

About You

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- 2–3 years’ experience within a Coronary Care Unit
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care, with a cardiac qualification highly regarded
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
- Knowledge of relevant NSQHS standards
- Current Working with Children Check
- Ability to work a rotating AM, PM and Night Duty roster
- Previous ANUM or senior clinical nursing experience will be highly regarded.
