About The Role
PRA is recruiting for a React and React Native Developer to work across mobile and web products using React Native, React, and TypeScript. This is an immediate-start contract scheduled to run from early November 2026 through the end of March 2027, with strong potential for extension as further projects begin in 2027. You will take ownership of assigned work from implementation and testing through deployment. The role suits an experienced, self-motivated engineer who can work effectively with well-defined requirements, clarify questions early, and manage their workload without requiring heavy day-to-day direction. You will use Cursor or a comparable AI coding tool as part of your regular development workflow.



Qualifications Candidates should have approximately five years of commercial software engineering experience, including hands-on professional experience developing with both React Native for mobile applications and React for web applications. Regular, practical use of Cursor or a comparable AI coding assistant in a current or recent role is required. You should communicate clearly in writing and conversation, feel comfortable asking thoughtful questions, and be able to work independently while contributing positively to a team. Experience with TypeScript is advantageous, as is backend exposure, ideally with Node.js. Familiarity with Azure is beneficial; candidates with strong AWS experience are also encouraged to apply. Experience supporting a high-traffic consumer application, particularly in retail, loyalty, or personalisation, would be an additional advantage. Responsibilities Build, enhance, test, and ship customer-facing features across mobile and web applications, using React Native and React. Take responsibility for your work throughout the delivery lifecycle, from understanding requirements and implementation to testing, release, and deployment.



Clarify requirements and raise questions early to identify dependencies, address uncertainty, and prevent blockers. Produce clean, maintainable code and participate in thoughtful code reviews that support consistent engineering standards. Use AI coding tools as a regular part of your development process, applying sound engineering judgment to maintain the quality, security, and reliability of your work. Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, communicate progress clearly, and contribute ideas that help the team deliver effectively.
