Role Description The Process Engineer – Water Treatment System (Kuala Lumpur) role at OLEOLOGY is a full-time, on-site position based in Success, WA, focused on process engineering for advanced oily water treatment systems. This role involves developing and optimizing process designs, participating in design engineering reviews, HAZOPs, and model design reviews for pressure vessels and related equipment. The Process Engineer will manage project execution from planning through close-out, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure timely completion within budget. Daily tasks include supporting procurement with technical input on vendor materials, monitoring process performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains,



and ensuring systems meet environmental and discharge requirements. The role also requires preparing technical documentation, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective water treatment solutions. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Process Engineering and Chemical Engineering, with experience in water or wastewater treatment systems.
• Competence in Process Design and Process Control for treatment plants, including equipment sizing, process optimization, and system integration.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills to assess process data, troubleshoot system performance, and recommend improvements.
• Experience managing engineering projects, including stakeholder coordination, scheduling, budget oversight, and risk management.
• Familiarity with HAZOP studies, safety standards, and relevant environmental and discharge regulations.
• Proficiency with engineering design tools and process simulation software; ability to interpret P&IDs; and technical drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline; qualified certification or chartered status is an advantage.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on-site in a multidisciplinary environment and occasionally travel to project locations as required.
