Job: - Dot Net Developer- (Must have NV1 Security Clearance)

Duration: 6 Months (Up to 1 extension options)

Location: -ACT (Hybrid) – 100% Preference is Canberra location, however interstate candidates will be considered if they are willing to relocate to Canberra or if they are willing to attend Canberra office as and when required by the client

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Dot Net Developerfor a long-term contract role with a Federal Agency.

Required Skills

- Solid experience with automated build and deployment scripting in .NET (Framework and modern .NET), and familiar with current dot net technology, especially Dot Net 10 experience
- Experience working in cloud environment and has exposure to Azure Devops and Azure pipelines
- Demonstrated experience with Visual Studio and Backend development using web API and SQL technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in SDLC and with cloud-based applications development.
- Looking for ideally full stack, front & back end, who is comfortable with UIs, APIs and databases and experience in blazor is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time and on budget.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
- Proficiency in using various IT applications and project management tools, including the MS Suite, Azure DevOps, and Miro or similar.

Desirable Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (or other relevant discipline).




- Knowledge of, or ability to, quickly gain knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
- Experience in Cloud-based technologies.
- Experience in technical analysis and design.
- Experience implementing integration requirements to perform end to end solution design

Key Responsibilities

- Participating in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to develop and enhance a C# based, n-tier, enterprise software and associated documentation in accordance with AEC Standards.
- Developing automated application build and deployment scripts using .NET (Framework and modern .NET), and the broader Microsoft technology stack.
- Following the Agile Methodology for software development using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Liaising with technical and business area staff to facilitate the rapid resolution of issues and/or faults within fielded production.

Visa Status and Security Clearance

- The candidate must have an active Must be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level clearance

Contract Duration

- Contract for an initial Tuesday, 10 November 2026
- Experience level: APS6 equivalent
- Duration: - ASAP to 30 June 2027
- Working arrangements: - (Hybrid) The successful candidate will perform the role from the Client’s Office in Canberra. Hybrid working arrangements (i.e. a combination of onsite attendance at an AEC office and remote working) may be considered at the discretion of the Hiring Manager. Candidates proposing relocation or long-distance commuting arrangements will not be considered.
