About the RoleThe Event & Marketing Coordinator owns the delivery of client events, campaigns and partner-marketing activity for Stirling Marketing's Australian client base. You are trusted to run the details end-to-end: from first briefing through to post-event follow. This is a hands-on, client-facing delivery role, not a behind-the-scenes admin function.
Stirling Marketing is a B2B marketing consultancy helping tech and SaaS companies across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Japan grow through strategic marketing and campaign delivery. Our clients trust us to deliver pipeline, revenue and quality leads through strategic marketing and we take that responsibility seriously. We are proud of our reputation for delivering excellence, every time.
What You Will Own
- Event Planning & Delivery• Coordinate client events — conference sponsorships, breakfast briefings, roundtable lunches and full-day conferences from initial briefing through to post-event follow-up.
- Event briefing documents and run sheets are complete and accurate well ahead of delivery deadlines.
- Event logistics (venues, suppliers, AV, signage, merchandise, registrations, delegate communications) run with zero day-of issues attributable to planning gaps.
- Post-event actions — lead-list uploads, feedback, debrief notes and nurture handover, all completed within agreed timeframes, every time.
- Event budgets and expense trackers stay current, accurate and backed by clear invoices.
- Campaign Coordination• Client campaigns (content syndication, research report programs, email nurture sequences, webinars) delivered on agreed channels and timelines, with clean ownership and no missed approvals.
- Campaign plans, content calendars and delivery schedules stay current without prompting.
- Campaign activity, status and outcomes tracked, with risks escalated early, not after a deadline has passed.
- Partner Marketing & Sales Support• Partner, sponsorship, referral and co-marketing opportunities identified, researched and progressed.
- Leads generated through events captured, processed and handed to the right client or sales contact without delay.
- Sales and partnership materials (proposals, briefing decks, campaign summaries) ready before they're needed.
- Client & Supplier Communication• Every client and supplier query acknowledged, actioned or escalated the same day.
- Every client planning and status meeting leaves with agreed actions followed through, not just noted.
- Trusted relationships built with suppliers, venues, event organisers and client stakeholders.
- Delivery Operations• Monday.com stays current in real time — the single source of truth for your work, not caught up retrospectively.
- Time logged accurately, by client and project, in Clockify.
- A clear, living status document means any team member can pick up your work without a briefing call.
- A usable written handover exists before any planned absence.
How You Show Up• You use sound commercial judgement on every piece of work: the objective of the campaign or event, the intended audience, and the agreed next step for leads, partners and clients.
- You take radical ownership rather than waiting for someone else to notice an issue.
- You raise concerns early and bring a proposed solution, not just the problem.
- You communicate with confidence and care: you never over-promise, leave an issue unacknowledged, or wait until a deadline has passed to raise a blocker.
- You bring a calm, positive, professional presence to every piece of client-facing work as every communication reflects on Stirling Marketing and our clients.
What We Are Looking ForEssential
- Experience coordinating conferences and events, marketing campaigns, partnerships, business development support or client delivery.
- Some sales, lead-generation, account management, partnership or commercial coordination experience.
- Confidence communicating with clients, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisation skills and a proven record of managing multiple deadlines and moving parts.
- Excellent written communication, attention to detail and qualified judgement.
- Comfortable working in a remote team while independently managing your workload.
- Available for onsite events, including occasional early starts or full event days.
- Registered ABN, operating as a genuine independent contractor/business (not seeking PAYG employment).
- Holds, or will obtain before commencing, Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance, and can provide a certificate of currency on request.
Desirable
- Experience in a B2B agency, technology, SaaS, professional services, events, partnerships or demand-generation environment.
- Experience with event platforms, CRM systems, email marketing, LinkedIn, marketing automation or lead-management workflows.
- Experience using Monday.com, Clockify, Claude, Slack, Canva and Microsoft Office.
- Experience coordinating sponsors, referral partners, alliance partners or co-marketing programmes.
Availability & Hours• Approximately 30 hours per week, Australia-based.
- Local onsite event attendance required; interstate and occasional overseas travel with reasonable notice.
- Capacity flagged at the start of each week, not the end. If availability changes, your lead is informed immediately.
How Performance Is MeasuredPerformance is reviewed quarterly against a scorecard covering event delivery, campaign coordination, partner activity and delivery operations. You'll know where you stand well before any formal review: events run to brief and budget, post-event follow-up lands on time, Monday.com and Clockify stay current, and deadlines at risk are flagged early with a revised plan.
What's In It for You• Competitive compensation, based on experience.
- Genuine ownership of a visible, client-facing function — not a support role.
- Professional development and growth opportunities as Stirling scales.
- Exposure to B2B tech and SaaS clients across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Japan.
- You are responsible for any tax-related procedures in your country of residence. Please apply only if you are happy to work as an independent contractor.
