About Innocean

INNOCEAN is the fastest growing agency network in the world, with 32 global offices and more than

4,100 employees in 23 countries.

At INNOCEAN Australia, we operate with the autonomy of an indie, and the scale of a multinational – all in service of our promise to clients and team members to deliver Fearless Creativity that earns an unfair share of attention.

We opened our doors in Australia in 2008 with two foundation clients: Hyundai and Kia. Since 2020 the Sydney business has been on a mission to diversify our roster which now includes FMCG, NGO,

Insurance, Tourism and Technology brands, not to mention our own Gender Equality not for profit division called F*ck the Cupcakes.

We’re a proud, fearless and ambitious group of over 80 creatives, strategists, client partners, media experts, technologists, analysts, and producers who work together in a flat and highly collaborative environment. We are uniquely geared to build integrated creative solutions across all touchpoints on a consumer’s journey with a brand, and in culture.

We’re famous for our category defying work and an enviable trophy cabinet. Day to day, we dare to break the rules, make noise and embrace a curious and collaborative culture that turbocharges everything we do – this is what allows us to punch above the competition, clear the clutter and unearth the uncomfortable truths that unlock truly attention grabbing, fearless ideas. It’s how we create bonds between brands and consumers, and between us and our clients.

Think of us as an extension of the marketing team. One with all the capabilities required to deliver work that gets attention and drives cultural connection.

About the Role The Integrated Project Director is the connective layer in the agency’s delivery. When CRM, content,

search, creative, media and production come together around a client problem, this is the single accountable role that turns that into one plan, one team and one delivery. It sits in Integrated Delivery,

reporting into Operations, and owns the operating flow the whole business runs work through: intake and brief, single strategy, integrated plan, make and activate, and measure and learn.

The role owns how work joins up, is cast, is resourced, is kept in scope and lands. It does not own the client relationship, which sits with account management, or the specialist craft, which sits with the capability leads. It owns and delivers the largest, most complex integrated programmes directly, and sets the standard the smaller jobs, run by the project managers, are held to.

What you’ll do

You run the agency's delivery. You hold the single forward view of every job across all channels, owned channels and campaigns, so there is one plan and one capacity picture rather than several trackers in different heads. You cast who works on what, make the priority and trade-off calls when work converges,

and sequence the hand-offs between specialists and technical partners so integrated work moves cleanly from brief to live.

You hold the commercial line on delivery. You own scope control and margin visibility on the owned and digital workstreams, catching scope risk at intake and again as work is made, so it is priced by the right person rather than absorbed. You work with finance and account leadership on scope, effort and margin, and you are the senior escalation point for client-side blockers, delivery risk and scope change.

You build the system and the people. You establish one agreed way of working across the workflow tools, resourcing and client timelines, with a clear delivery RACI, before any new tool is bought. You lead the largest programmes yourself, and you coach and grow the integrated project managers, giving them defined portfolios and a path toward larger, more complex work.

Who you are

You are a senior delivery or programme leader who has run integrated work across more than one discipline, in an agency or a comparable environment. You have built operating models and cadences that others can follow, not just managed individual projects, and you are comfortable holding scope,

commercial and margin decisions.

You are a builder of teams and systems. You coach project managers well, you can hold a senior client without taking over the account relationship, and you are motivated by making a group of specialists deliver as one. You bring the delivery discipline the agency has lacked.

Responsibilities

Forward delivery and resourcing

- Intake and brief - Own the intake standard, so nothing enters delivery without a proper brief, a named owner and a realistic timeline.
- Single strategy - Make sure delivery is planned against one agreed strategy per client, rather than several competing ones.
- Integrated plan - Own the single forward delivery and resource view across CRM, content, SEO, owned channels and campaign delivery, as one view rather than several trackers held in different heads.
- Make and activate - Cast the team, make the priority and trade-off calls when work converges, and own the hand-offs between specialists and to technical partners so work moves cleanly to live.
- Measure and learn - Make sure delivered work is reviewed, and that what is learned improves how delivery runs next time.
- Own and deliver the large, complex integrated programmes yourself, and hold the standard that small and medium jobs run to.

Scope control and commercial visibility

- Own scope control and margin visibility on the digital and owned workstreams,

as the operational side of the out of scope mechanism.
- Catch scope risk early, at brief intake and again as work is made and activated, so it is estimated and decided by the right person rather than absorbed quietly.
- Work with finance and account leadership on scope, effort and margin.

Delivery system and standards

- Establish one agreed way of working across the flow, from intake through to measure and learn, with the data discipline behind it, before any new tool is bought.
- Set and hold a clear delivery RACI across project management, account management, CX and CRM strategy, creative and content, technical partner and client.

Escalation and people

- Act as the senior point of escalation for client side blockers, delivery risk and scope change.
- Coach, nurture and grow the integrated project managers and coordinators, with a transparent development path toward owning larger and more complex work.
- Build a delivery team that does not depend on any single person.

Brand and category knowledge

- Develop a solid understanding of the client's brand and how it should show up in the work.
- Understand the client's marketing and team processes and how they operate.

Continuous improvement

- Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements.
- Lead and actively participate in team meetings, and share ideas and feedback.

Work, health and safety

- Manage safe work practices and keep up to date on changes and practices.
- Ensure your work environment is safe, whether working from home or in the office.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
