Junior Machine Learning Engineer

12 months Fixed Term -Full Time

Sydney or Melbourne

We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help develop and deliver scalable, reliable machine learning and AI solutions that support clinical and operational outcomes across our organisation.

Working within our Analytics team, you’ll collaborate with Senior ML Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Clinical stakeholders to take ML models and AI solutions from development through to production.

What you’ll do

- Develop, train and evaluate ML models, and build AI solutions.
- Deploy, integrate and operate scalable ML/AI services and workflows.
- Develop and maintain ML pipelines, including batch and real-time inference, integrating ML solutions with enterprise platforms.
- Implement testing, monitoring and CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate across technical and clinical teams to deliver high-quality, secure and governed solutions.

What you’ll bring

- 2–3+ years’ experience in ML engineering, ML development or software engineering with applied ML.
- Robust Python programming skills, with hands on experience in SQL, Linux, Git and MLOps.
- Strong understanding of ML fundamentals, feature engineering and model evaluation.
- Experience deploying ML models or AI solutions in production, with knowledge of CI/CD.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.

Experience with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS,



GCP or Azure), batch and streaming data pipelines, NLP or Generative AI will be highly regarded. About I-MED
