We're seeking a Head of Processing Operations - Mango & Avocado to lead our Bundaberg processing operations and continue building a culture focused on safety, operational excellence, quality and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the General Manager - Processing Operations, you'll lead a diverse team across two sites through highly seasonal production cycles and play a key role in improving efficiency, capability and performance across the business.

What you'll own

- Processing and packing operations for our mango and avocado facilities in Bundaberg
- Production planning, labour planning and seasonal workforce readiness
- Safety, food safety and quality outcomes across the operation
- Operational performance including throughput, yield, efficiency and cost control
- Maintenance coordination and equipment reliability
- Continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes and people
- Budget management and operational expenditure
- Leadership of supervisors, team leaders and operational employees
- Building a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

You'll need

- Significant leadership experience within food processing,



packing, manufacturing or agribusiness operations
- Experience managing medium-to-large operational teams in fast-paced production environments
- Strong understanding of production planning, labour management and operational performance metrics
- Demonstrated success improving productivity, quality and cost performance
- Strong safety leadership with a commitment to creating a zero-harm workplace
- Experience managing budgets, operating costs and resource allocation
- The ability to lead through seasonal peaks and changing operational priorities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility across all levels of the business

Advantageous, but not essential:
- Experience with fresh produce, horticulture or perishable products
- Exposure to highly seasonal operations
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Qualifications in Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Technology or a related discipline
