About Syenta

Syenta is pioneering a recent era in semiconductor manufacturing with our groundbreaking Localized Electrochemical Manufacturing (LEM) technology. Our manufacturing products build cutting edge advanced packaging for the semiconductor industry by combining patterning and metallization into a single tool. We do that by achieving high-speed, high-resolution metallization at significantly lower costs and energy use, while minimizing emissions and waste.

Founded in Australia, our growing footprint in the US represents a key milestone in our journey. We are building a world-class team where seasoned engineers and ambitious emerging talent collaborate to solve some of the toughest challenges in semiconductor manufacturing.

About The Role

You will help build and run the quality system for our new semiconductor facilities across Australia and the US. Working with process teams, equipment owners and the Cleanroom Operations Coordinators, you will help turn technical knowledge and agreed ways of working into clear procedures, reliable records and consistent practices. We are a growing startup, so you will learn fast, take on real responsibility early, and help shape how quality works here from the start.

This is an entry-level role with a clear path to Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS)

- Support the development and maintenance of Syenta’s quality management framework, appropriate to our R&D; activities and stage of growth.
- Help map operational processes, clarify responsibilities and identify gaps in procedures, controls and records.
- Support consistent quality practices across AU and US, maintaining controlled site-specific requirements where needed.
- Track quality actions and improvement priorities, following up with owners and escalating delays.
- Administer document drafting, review, approval, publication and periodic revision workflows.
- Maintain the document register, revision history and approval records, ensuring current versions are accessible and obsolete versions are withdrawn.
- Help technical owners prepare clear,

consistent and usable documentation.
- Maintain organised quality records, including equipment qualification, maintenance, calibration and operational release evidence supplied by responsible owners.
- Support appropriate record retention, access and traceability.
- Coordinate training updates following changes to procedures, equipment or working practices.
- Identify missing or expired records and follow up with responsible owners.

Quality Assurance (QA) and Compliance

- Conduct routine documentation and record checks, identifying missing information, outdated instructions and deviations from agreed requirements.
- Support equipment and operational readiness reviews by checking that required documentation, training and approval evidence is complete.
- Open and maintain records for non-conformances, deviations and incidents, working with the Cleanroom Operations Coordinator, who drives the investigation and response.
- Support investigations by gathering records, organising evidence and documenting findings.
- Assist responsible owners with root-cause analysis and action tracking.
- Coordinate change-control records, ensuring required reviews, approvals, document updates and training actions are captured.
- Report on document readiness, training gaps, recurring non-conformances and overdue quality actions.
- Support FMEA reviews and maintain the risk register and control plans as process owners update them.
- Facilitate root cause analysis using 5 Whys, fishbone, Is/Is Not and Pareto analysis.
- Track containment, corrections and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to closure with named owners and due dates.

Audits and Continuous Improvement

- Support internal audits and preparation for external and customer audits.
- Support the path to ISO 9001 certification and alignment with relevant SEMI standards.
- Maintain audit evidence and track findings to closure.
- Work with users to understand implementation difficulties and improve the practicality of quality controls.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve record quality and reduce unnecessary administration.
- Build knowledge of quality management, assurance and structured problem-solving through practical work and development.

What We’re Looking For

- Degree or equivalent in engineering, science, quality or a related field, or relevant early-career experience.
- Interest in quality systems; exposure to ISO 9001 or similar is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic quality tools (5 Whys, fishbone, Pareto, NCR/CAPA, FMEA, SPC and 8D).
- Cleanroom, semiconductor, photonics, MEMS or other controlled-environment experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with SEMI standards is a bonus
- Careful and organised, with attention to detail and good record-keeping.
- Clear written and verbal communication, and the confidence to raise issues and correct colleagues respectfully.
- Comfortable with data: spreadsheets, basic charts, trend reading.
- Curious, motivated and keen to learn, with a startup can-do mindset.
- Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Why Choose Syenta? We’re passionate about building a diverse, people-first company. Our culture of collaboration and mutual respect fuels innovation capable of redefining an industry. At Syenta, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, lead high-impact teams, and shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing.
