About ORIMA: ORIMA Research is an Australian-owned company that specialises in market and social research, data analytics and advisory services. We work primarily with government clients – over 90% of our work is for the public sector – helping them make informed decisions that benefit the community. Since starting in 1996, we have grown to a team of around 80 professionals, with offices in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. ORIMA is a values-driven organisation, and we take pride in our service ethos, high-performance culture, innovation, integrity and commitment to helping our staff thrive. We are:
• People who believe in the importance of evidence-based approaches to support government decision-making for the improvement of communications, policies and service delivery;
• Lateral thinkers and problem solvers who work to find the best solutions for our clients; and
• A team with diverse qualifications and professional backgrounds, bringing unique perspectives to everything we do. Role Description: We are seeking a researcher with a minimum of seven years’ experience in quantitative research in a commercial or agency setting to support social research projects for government and not-for-profit clients across a range of areas, such as public health, communications campaign development and evaluation, community sentiment, client experience and more. The nature of the projects require flexibility in research design, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly understand client needs and identify how research can be used to address them.

We are seeking an experienced quantitative researcher with strong written and verbal communication skills, and a sound understanding of evidence-based research design and quantitative methods. The ideal candidate will have robust analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrated capability in data analysis, data visualisation and presentation of research findings clearly and effectively. They will also have proven experience managing client relationships and leading projects, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice, and translating client needs into effective research solutions. Experience contributing to business development, including proposal writing and identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and generate new work, is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality, impactful research. The researcher would work within a small team of highly skilled researchers with a passion for making a difference to the clients we serve. We are looking for a self-starter who will uphold privacy and confidentiality in all that they do, and who will contribute to a supportive, positive and engaged office culture. The role is based on-site, in our bright, Melbourne office in Collingwood. Full details of the role duties/ responsibilities, and required qualifications and skills, are available on our website. Please apply via www.orima.com. We strongly advise prospective candidates to submit their applications promptly, as interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis with suitably qualified candidates.
