This opportunity is exclusively for freelancers and independent contractors operating under their own ABN. It is not a full-time, part-time or casual employment position. The initial workload is approximately 15 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as the agency grows. About The Social OutlookThe Social Outlook is a social media and marketing agency operating across South West Sydney, servicing clients in the construction industry and service-based businesses. We help businesses showcase their work, build their online presence and connect with their audience through creative content and consistent social media management. What you’ll be doing
• Scheduling client content across social media platforms.
• Writing captions that reflect each client’s brand and tone of voice.
• Creating cover images for Reels.
• Maintaining client profiles, including bios and highlights.
• Preparing and posting client Stories.
• Responding to comments and DMs to support community engagement.
• Learning to edit content using AI tools, with a full training course provided.



Who this opportunity suitsThis opportunity would suit someone finishing their marketing degree who is establishing or already operating a freelance business and wants hands-on experience working with an agency. We’re looking for someone who is creative, organised, detail-oriented and confident managing multiple tasks. You’ll have strong writing skills, an eye for visuals and a willingness to learn current tools. Applicants with 6–12 months of relevant experience will be favoured. Essential requirements
• You operate as a freelancer or independent contractor with a valid ABN.
• You hold a valid Australian driver’s licence.
• You can accommodate approximately 15 hours of client work per week.
• You have a portfolio showcasing relevant social media, content, copywriting or design work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. What’s on offer
• An initial freelance workload of approximately 15 hours per week.
• A full training course in AI-assisted content editing.
• Experience working across construction and service-based client accounts.
• Potential for additional contracted hours for the right person.
