Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Organisational Performance is a member of a collaborative Executive Leadership Team that drives Council’s vision of being a leader in achieving social, environmental and economic outcomes for the community. The position provides strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Information Technology, Digital Transformation, Governance and Property, and Organisational Performance and Strategy. Leading a professional and committed team, the role oversees Council’s strategic planning framework, performance reporting and service reviews, while ensuring strong governance, risk management and integrity across the organisation. The successful appointee will have broad fiscal management experience in a comparable medium to large organisation, with demonstrated success in:
• Strategic financial planning and identifying alternate income opportunities
• Leading service planning reviews that deliver organisation-wide efficiencies
• Integrating procurement and managing commercial and community property portfolios
• Leading change and digital transformation to support best customer/citizen outcomes Exceptional communication and engagement skills are essential, including the ability to build credible relationships with Councillors, and to build compelling narratives that influence decision-making.
