About the chance Precision Poultry is a growing poultry business with farms across several states. We are building scalable finance processes and bringing key functions in-house. This hands-on role will manage accounts payable, reconciliations and month-end support, and provide backup payroll and light accounts receivable support, from our Moorooka office, reporting to and working closely with the Senior Accountant, with regular interaction across the CFO, COO, Farm Managers and farm teams. What you’ll do
• Process supplier invoices through Xero and ApprovalMax, including coding, purchase order and delivery-document matching, and exception follow-up.
• Reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, ledgers and control accounts, and prepare payment runs for authorised release.
• Provide backup payroll support, including checking farm timesheets and preparing Xero pay runs, with support from external HR and WHS advisers.
• Assist with occasional customer invoicing and receipting in Xero as required.
• Prepare GST/BAS working papers, month-end schedules and creditor reconciliations for the Senior Accountant’s review.
• Document and maintain practical SOPs for accounts payable, payroll and reconciliations.




• Support the staged transition of outsourced AP and payroll functions back in-house.
• Act as a responsive finance contact for farm teams and maintain batch data used in labour, budget and variance reporting. What you’ll bring
• An accounting diploma, or current study towards one.
• Hands-on accounts payable and bank reconciliation experience.
• Some payroll experience, or a willingness to build it as backup to the team.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear, practical communication skills and confidence working with farm teams and senior managers.
• The right to work in Australia. Highly regarded
• Experience with Xero and ApprovalMax, or the ability to learn systems quickly.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll requirements, including awards, superannuation, STP and payroll tax. Why join us?
