Horn Please is a vibrant Indian restaurant in Melbourne, celebrating the flavours of Indian cuisine with a focus on quality ingredients, authentic flavours and memorable dining experiences. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Indian Chef to join.

About the Role
As our Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality Indian dishes, maintaining consistency in food preparation and presentation, and contributing to the smooth operation of our busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook authentic Indian curries, traditional dishes and other menu items to a high standard.

Demonstrate strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients and cooking techniques.

Maintain consistent food quality, flavour, portion sizes and presentation.

Assist with menu preparation, food preparation planning and stock management.

Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with Australian food safety standards.

Monitor food storage, minimise waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service during busy periods.





Skills and Experience

Previous qualified experience as an Indian Chef is essential.

Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cuisine and cooking methods.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Excellent time management, organisation and teamwork skills.

A solid commitment to food quality, consistency and kitchen hygiene.

Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable.
