About the role The Data Specialist, Solution Architect plays a key role in shaping Allianz’s enterprise data landscape, designing secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective data solutions that enable trusted, data-driven decision making and business value. Working across data platforms, analytics, data integration, governance and emerging data capabilities, this role provides architectural leadership to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, regulatory obligations and strategic objectives.

Partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, Privacy, Cyber Security, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Engineering and Business teams, you will help drive the delivery of high-quality, well-governed and accessible data solutions across a highly regulated environment.

- Design and govern secure,



scalable and resilient data architecture solutions aligned to enterprise standards and business strategy.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define data requirements, solution roadmaps and architectural direction.
- Provide architectural leadership across data platforms, integration, analytics, reporting and cloud data services.
- Establish and maintain data architecture standards, patterns and governance frameworks to support trusted data outcomes.
- Drive strategic initiatives including data platform modernisation, cloud migration, data quality and master data management.
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Privacy, Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory and security requirements are met.
- Provide technical guidance and design assurance throughout the solution lifecycle, promoting best practices and reusable data capabilities.

About you

- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures across data warehouses, data lakes, lakehouses and operational data platforms.
- Robust expertise in target-state architecture, migration planning and platform modernisation, including transition roadmaps and legacy retirement strategies.
- Deep knowledge of data integration and movement patterns, including streaming, batch, CDC, APIs and cross-platform data access.
- Experience establishing data governance frameworks, including data ownership, domain boundaries, lineage, data catalogues, data contracts and sensitive data management.




- Ability to define and govern non-functional requirements, including availability, performance, disaster recovery, security, scalability and cost optimisation.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture governance, including architecture review boards, ADRs, risk management and exception processes.
- Experience with Azure Databricks engineering capabilities and other modern cloud data platforms
