About Us

A gloabl Japanese organisation is seeking a Japanese Speaking Trade & Commercial Operations Officer to join its Perth CBD office.

This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role covering trade operations, accounting coordination and general commercial administration. You will work closely with internal finance teams, external accountants, customers, suppliers and logistics providers, while independently managing a range of day-to-day operational responsibilities.

The position would suit someone with experience in trade operations, bookkeeping, accounts administration, import/export or commercial operations who enjoys a broad role with plenty of variety.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate accounting and bookkeeping matters across several related entities
- Prepare accounting information, supporting documents and transaction records
- Support invoice and payment processing, reconciliations and basic journal activities
- Assist with month-end, year-end and audit documentation
- Manage day-to-day trade and shipping operations, including contracts, invoices, payments and shipping documentation
- Liaise with customers,



suppliers, logistics providers, finance teams and external accountants
- Maintain accurate records using SAP and other business systems
- Provide general office administration, including travel, meetings, visitors and expense claims
- Support new business and commercial project activities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflows

Your Profile

- Experience in trade operations, bookkeeping, accounts administration, commercial operations or a similar role will be highly regarded
- Practical accounting knowledge, including invoices, payments, reconciliations and basic journal processing
- Strong organisational and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing responsibilities independently and coordinating across multiple stakeholders
- Experience in mining, resources, commodities, chemicals or import/export would be highly regarded
- Experience with SAP or a similar system is desirable
- Strong written and spoken English
- Japanese language skills are highly regarded but not essential
- CPA/CA qualification is not required
