A leading Australian bank is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join its technology team, supporting the build and delivery of data solutions within a complex enterprise setting.

This is a hands-on development role focused on building and enhancing Snowflake solutions, developing data pipelines and delivering reliable, scalable data capabilities to support business and technology requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and develop data solutions within Snowflake, including databases, schemas, tables, views and data models.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support data ingestion, transformation and integration.
- Write complex SQL queries and implement data transformations, ensuring data quality, accuracy and performance.
- Work closely with data engineering, architecture and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support testing,



deployment and release activities, following established development standards and engineering practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve data processing, pipeline performance and the reliability of Snowflake solutions.

Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated experience as a Snowflake Data Engineer, Snowflake Developer or in a similar data engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience building and developing solutions within Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, data modelling and query optimisation.
- Experience building data pipelines and working with ETL/ELT processes.
- Experience with Python and data transformation or integration tools such as dbt, Informatica or Azure Data Factory would be advantageous.
- Understanding of development lifecycle practices, including source control, testing and CI/CD.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments, ideally within banking or financial services.
