Field Officer - North/Northwest regions

The Tasmanian Building Group (Apprentice Employment & Training) has worked within the Building and Construction industry since 1984 and is seeking to employ an additional Field Officer based in the north/northwestern regions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to support and develop Apprentices and Trainees. Working alongside them and the host employer on their journey to become trade professionals within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop strong relationships with host employers, apprentices, registered training organisations (RTO's) and schools.

- Manage apprentices and trainees from commencement through to successful completion.

- Conduct regular workplace visits and provide ongoing mentoring and support to apprentices and trainees.

- Address workplace concerns, performance issues and other challenges in a timely and professional manner.

- Liaise with registered training organisations (RTOs) to monitor training progress and qualification requirements.





- Promote apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities to businesses, schools and industry stakeholders.

- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with the National Standards for group training organisations (GTO's) and relevant legislation.

What We're Looking For

- Experience working within the Building and Construction industry.

- Good IT skills, ability to use databases, as well as Microsoft products.

- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.

- Ability to confidently approach prospective employers, conduct business meetings and convert opportunities into ongoing partnerships.

- Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team setting.

- Hold a current driver's licence, white card and WWVP card.
