About the role

The Store Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the takeaway business. Their leadership ensures efficient service delivery while fostering a supportive team environment committed to customer satisfaction and high standards.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise all aspects of daily store operations, guaranteeing that service remains efficient and seamless for both staff and customers

- Organise staff rostering to ensure suitable coverage at all times, and uphold compliance with all labour regulations

- Conduct comprehensive staff training, focusing on food preparation quality, safety protocols, and providing exceptional customer service

- Manage stock and inventory, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and implementing measures to minimise wastage

- Operate the SQUARE POS system proficiently to process orders accurately, handle cash, and generate sales reports as required

- Oversee store opening and closing routines, including cash reconciliation and ensuring all security protocols are followed

- Deliver prompt, friendly service to customers, and participate in food preparation, packaging, and serving as needed

- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and a commitment to customer satisfaction





- Communicate clearly and effectively with both customers and staff to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere

- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and introduce new equipment to the cooking staff as required

About you

- Previous experience in a similar role within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry is highly desirable

- Familiarity with the SQUARE POS system or similar point-of-sale software

- Strong organisational and multitasking skills to manage daily operations effectively

- Excellent leadership qualities to motivate and guide a diverse team

- Effective verbal communication skills to facilitate seamless interactions

- A customer-focused mindset, with a passion for delivering outstanding service

- Working knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures

- Availability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends, as the store operates seven days a week
