About the role

This role suits an auditor who's ready to take more ownership of their engagements. You'll join the audit practice of a global top-tier firm, working across a genuinely diverse portfolio, from ASX-listed groups and private equity-backed businesses through to family-owned companies, fast-growing SMEs and not-for-profits. You'll run audits day to day, work closely with Managers and Partners, and help develop the next generation of the team.

Key responsibilities

- Running external audit engagements from planning through to reporting

- Auditing clients across sectors including financial services, property and construction, manufacturing, retail, technology and healthcare

- Identifying key audit risks and making sure work meets Australian Auditing Standards

- Reviewing junior staff work and presenting findings to clients and engagement leaders

- Being a trusted day-to-day contact for clients' finance teams, often working directly with founders and owners in family and SME businesses





- Coaching and supporting junior members of the team

About you

- Minimum 2 years' external audit experience, ideally from a Big 4, mid-tier or chartered firm

- Solid technical knowledge of AASB and audit methodology

- Experience across the full audit cycle, ideally with a mix of listed, private and SME clients

- CA, CPA or ACCA qualified, or close to completing

- Must have full Australian working rights

- Confident with clients and comfortable leading a small team on site
