Genesis Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious, hands-on Sales Manager to join our brand-new Genesis dealership in Alexandria.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys selling as much as managing. You'll lead from the front, work closely with customers, support negotiations and drive results while helping build a high-performing team and a premium customer experience.

Key responsibilities

- Driving the dealership to achieve and exceed monthly sales volume and gross targets

- Leading from the front by actively selling vehicles and demonstrating best-practice sales techniques

- Creating a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture

- Coaching, mentoring and developing sales consultants to maximise their potential

- Monitoring individual and dealership performance, identifying opportunities and taking action to improve results

- Maintaining a consistent and effective sales process from initial enquiry through to delivery

- Working closely with the manufacturer to achieve sales objectives and uphold Genesis brand standards

- Managing customer negotiations, vehicle trade-ins, valuations and deal structuring





- Delivering a premium customer experience that reflects the Genesis luxury brand

- Analysing sales performance, managing KPIs and identifying opportunities to grow volume and profitability

- Contributing ideas and initiatives to grow the dealership's presence, reputation and market share

About you

- Previous automotive Sales Manager experience is preferred, however, we will also consider an experienced Assistant Sales Manager or a highly skilled, results-driven Sales Executive ready to take the next step in their career

- A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with the ambition and ability to help drive dealership performance

- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of sales volume, gross profit and dealership KPIs

- Excellent negotiation, closing and customer relationship skills

- The ability to lead by example, motivate others and get the best out of a team

- A hands-on approach and a willingness to remain actively involved in selling

- Strong communication, organisation and commercial awareness

- A polished, professional presentation and a genuine commitment to exceptional customer service

- A team-first attitude, with the initiative and drive to take ownership of results





- A desire to grow professionally and contribute to the long-term success of the business

Experience with a luxury automotive brand would be advantageous, but is not essential. We are equally interested in someone from a mainstream automotive background who has the right attitude, professional presence and commitment to delivering a premium customer experience.
