The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead commercial performance, profitability and operational excellence across our 7 sites in Tasmania and South Australia.

Based in Launceston, you'll provide visible leadership to Centre Managers and site teams, building capable teams, strong customer partnerships and safe, high-performing operations. This is a hands-on regional leadership role with regular travel required across both states.

Your key focus areas will include:

- Lead, coach and mentor Centre Managers and site teams to deliver strong operational and commercial results.
- Drive safety culture and ensure compliance with client and legislative requirements.
- Develop and execute regional business and service strategies to achieve financial and operational objectives.
- Build trusted relationships with insurers, fleet customers, brokers, government and private customers to support site throughput.
- Partner with regional leaders,



finance and performance teams to prepare budgets, deliver monthly reporting and participate in performance reviews.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and cost control.
- Manage people matters in line with AMA standards and support team development.

What you'll bring

- Demonstrated leadership experience in a service-based industry.
- Robust commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing profit and loss performance.
- A track record of growing sales, improving profitability and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Sound knowledge of employment-related processes, including recruitment and performance management.
- Strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Advanced computer literacy, including Excel.
- Experience in automotive repair or insurance, along with relevant tertiary qualifications, will be highly regarded.
