About the role

Ord Machining is seeking Machinist and Fitter/Machinist positions based in Kununurra, serving the East and West Kimberley regions and the Northern Territory. The role involves working with a well-equipped workshop featuring an extensive range of quality machines, including lathes, borers, milling machines, presses, welders, and CNC equipment. You will cater to diverse industries including agriculture, cattle stations, marine, construction, transport, hydro and port infrastructure, and mining.

Key responsibilities

- Operate and maintain workshop machinery including lathes, borers, milling machines, presses, welders, and CNC equipment

- Work on projects for agriculture, cattle stations, marine, construction, transport, hydro and port infrastructure, and mining sectors

- Work independently and as part of a team

- Work in both the workshop and the field as needed

- Understand and follow customer needs and instructions

About you

- Trade Qualifications in Machinist or Fitter/Machinist

- Passion for variety and solving problems

- Solid work ethic with attention to detail





- Ability to understand customer needs and instructions

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Willingness to work in both the workshop and the field as needed
