About the role

ACR Air Conditioning Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Qualified Tradesman to join our team in Sutherland, NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality air conditioning and refrigeration services to our valued clients across the region. As a qualified tradesman, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that every installation, maintenance, is completed to the highest skilled standards. Key responsibilities

- Install air conditioning and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings

- Perform preventative maintenance checks and diagnostics to identify potential system issues before they become major problem

- Handle refrigerant recovery, recycling, and recharging in compliance with environmental regulations

- Troubleshoot complex system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical expertise

- Provide professional advice to clients regarding system upgrades, maintenance schedules, and energy-saving options

- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when required, adhering to all health and safety protocols

- Collaborate with team members and support apprentices or junior staff where applicable

What we're looking for

- Current Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Trade Qualification (Certificate III or equivalent minimum)

- Valid refrigeration license and current Ozone Layer Protection (OLP) License

- Proven experience working as an air conditioning and refrigeration tradesman in the industry





- Strong knowledge of installation, maintenance, and repair procedures for various HVAC systems

- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, gauges, and specialised equipment commonly used in air conditioning work

- Understanding of electrical systems as they relate to air conditioning and refrigeration equipment

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to clients in clear, accessible language

- A commitment to health and safety practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations

- A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to travel between job sites

- Preferred: Experience with commercial or industrial systems, knowledge of current refrigerants, and familiarity with smart HVAC technologies
