Micronised Minerals Australia is a leading producer of high-quality bulk minerals, and we're looking for a motivated and reliable Maintenance Fitter to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation maintenance, routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, continuous improvement and problem-solving issues as they arise. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a diverse set of mechanical and metalworking skills.

This role is a full-time position, working day shifts with the possibility of overtime and off-site project work.

Locally owned and operated in East Arm, Northern Territory, Micronised Minerals Australia is the Northern Territory's leading Lime specialist. Producing and supplying bulk mineral products to industries including mining, oil & gas, agriculture, and civil construction. We produce a range of products in-house using an automated air swept milling plant and materials handling machinery.

And continue to develop safer and more efficient product handling systems to support our consumer demands.

Role




Coordinate maintenance with the management and operations staff.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
Perform repairs, installations, inspections, and upgrades of equipment and facilities.
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues.
Coordinate with contracted technicians for repairs and installations for works outside the company’s maintenance and repair capacity.
Monitor and identify areas for improvement.
Identify and source required parts/tools.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Engage in the daily warehouse/processing operations from time to time.

Qualifications/Experience
Fitting / Mechanical qualifications.
Fixed milling(grinding) and process machinery, mobile plant forklifts, loader and light vehicles.
Knowledge of machine shop equipment; Lathe, and minor welding principals.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Valuable communication skills.

Licenses and Experience
Current Drivers Licence - Essential
Current Forklift / Heavy equipment Licence- Essential
EWP License – Desirable.
Knowledge of heavy equipment use (Container forklifts, Front End Loaders, etc.)
