A specialist fund services group is appointing a Fund Accounting Manager to lead a small team and own a portfolio of client funds. The role suits someone ready to take on their first manager title, with the breadth to match.

The business provides trustee, custody and fund administration services to domestic and international fund managers. Its client base spans a range of structures and asset classes, with alternatives and private credit a growing part of the book.

The Role
Leads and develops a team of two fund accountants
Owns a portfolio of client funds through the monthly NAV and reporting cycle
Reviews unit pricing, distributions and fund financial reporting before release
Acts as the key point of contact for client fund managers on accounting queries




Manages year end fund accounts and the associated audit process
Improves controls and process across the team’s fund book

Background Required
Fund accounting experience within a fund administrator, custodian or fund manager
Solid working knowledge of unit trust structures, NAV and unit pricing
Experience reviewing the work of others, formally or informally
Comfortable managing client relationships and audit timelines across multiple funds
CA or CPA qualified, or working towards it

Salary range $140,000 to $150,000 including super.
Full time in the Melbourne CBD office, 5 days a week.
