About the role

Bantatthong Restaurant is a modern Thai restaurant, located in Brighton, VIC. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full time Chef to join our team.

Key responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and properly present food for regular service
Collaborate with the other chefs and owner to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering factors such as seasonal availability of ingredients, the likely number of customers, portion size and final menu price
Prepare meals in line with agreed recipes
Monitor and maintain stock levels to reduce wastage
Order food and other supplies needed
Train staff as necessary utilising both on the job training techniques and when required send staff on approved external relevant training
Ensure all OHS requirements are complied with by all staff in the kitchen
Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen are followed

About you
Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience
Positive understanding of kitchen operations, food safety and cost control
